Bamboo 'Terry' Towelling

Bamboo fabric is a natural textile made from the pulp of the bamboo grass.

It has been growing in popularity, as it is more sustainable than most textile fibres.   Bamboo fabric is produced from the environmentally sustainable bamboo plant, it is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet with some species growing almost a metre a day.

Bamboo has highly water absorbent qualities, which bamboo fabric is able to retain, despite repeated washing, the qualities help to reduce the bacteria’s that live on our clothing.

Bamboo fabric is light strong and with antibacterial properties.  Many people who experience allergic reactions to other natural fibres such as wool or hemp, do not complain of this issue with bamboo, meaning this very soft fabric can be worn directly next to the skin, without causing irritation.  Another benefit of this great fibre is the insulating properties of bamboo fabric it will keep the wearer cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Bamboo Terry Towelling Fabric has become the most popular fabric for nappy making due to its absorption qualities, it is also used in bedding and clothing, it's more absorbent than cotton but dries just as quickly.   This versatility of the bamboo fabric makes it an excellent choice for clothing baby products and some soft furnishings
